Saturday 22nd October marked the 24th year of the Newcastle Truck Show. Transport Awareness Day began in 1994 to educate people about the importance of the Transport and Logistics Industry in Australia.
The Truck Show helps people of the industry network and learn latest practices each year.
2016 attracted 200 big rigs including the latest edition to the Thomson Landscapes fleet.
The day included a convoy of all the trucks from Sandgate to Maitland Showground where they were set up and competed for honours in 20 different categories
Thomson Landscapes may not have won anything this year however it was an informative and exciting day to get back into a truck show.
The last truck show entered was in 1997 where Doug won Best Tipper.
The event established in 1992 and supports the work of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and has raised over 1.4 million dollars in the past 24 years.
