Our company was established in 1975, by the three Thomson brothers, all tradesmen. In 1978, the brothers moved from early beginnings in Duffy’s Forest to Mount Kuring-gai. Here they built a material handling yard with a state of the art circular driveway that catered for the Do It Yourself handyman/tradesman that preferred better access to the job via the use of a ute or box trailer.

During this time, the brothers moved from a large bulk haulage focus to smaller trucks catering for residential and commercial sites in the area. Of the three brothers, Doug is the only brother left operating off the site together with his wife Margaret.

In recent years the company has moved into its second generation, as two of Doug and Margaret’s daughters, Brooke and Christan have come on board working for the company. Both girls have grown up around the company, Brooke herself going on to study Horticulture and Landscape.

Thomson Landscape Supplies has also traded from the Mt Kuring-gai site as Berowra Sand & Soil since 1981. This was because of the confusion between companies supplying landscape supplies and sand and soil. We are now promoting our Thomson name, sticking true to our roots, look for the white and blue trucks for your assurance of quality.
